Xbox One Exclusive, ReCore release date has been pushed back to late 2016.
One the most highly anticipated Xbox One exclusives of 2016, ReCore has just yesterday revealed that the release date that was originally scheduled for Spring of this year with now be pushed back to later in the year. This disappointing news came just days after Platinum Games, the team working on Scalebound, another Xbox One Exclusive revealed that Scalebound, would also now be pushed back until 2017.
We are only 7 days into the new year which Microsoft dubbed to be the biggest year in Xbox One history, and already two of the biggest anticipated Xbox One Exclusives have received lengthy delays on the release dates. The issues that we have these days is that when a game launches you do want a fully functioning game, and sometimes that does mean waiting a little bit longer while companies iron out any final issues, its finding that balance between keeping gamers happy and delivering a great finished product.
What is ReCore.
If this is the first time you have heared about the Xbox One Exclusive, ReCore, The game sees players take control of a human who is now one of the last remaining humans on the planet, the game with see you team up with & forge friendships with robot companions, while you travel around the mysterious planet. As far as the objectives in the game go that is just as mysterious as the game is dubbed to be, but check out the trailer below to see it that gets you any more pumped for it.
Be sure to keep an eye out on the site as we will keep you up to date with any new information about ReCore.
Worms Battlegrounds And Nutjitsu coming to Xbox One.
The Xbox One has been out for a number of months now and unfortunately the games haven’t been flooding in leaving its 4 million plus users of the console wanting. This month is defiantly the turning point for the console as more and more of the next-gen games that we have been looking forward to for some time are getting nearer and nearer to launching on the system. One of the thinks that I likes most when the console launched back in November 2013 was the ID@Xbox programme that Microsoft announced, here is a quick look at what the ID@Xbox programme is.
What is ID@Xbox? –ID@Xbox is shorthand for the Independent Developers Publishing Program for Xbox One, a new program enabling independent game developers of all sizes to produce and self-publish games digitally on Xbox One. It’s also shorthand for how to get your game onto Xbox One without a publisher. Source: Xbox Website
As a huge fan of the Arcade/Indie games on the Xbox 360, I was really looking forward to seeing what some of this Independent Developers that may never of stood A change of getting their game published in the past had to offer. Finally the wait is over and the first two Indie games for the Next-Gen console have been confirmed by Phil Spencer the other day, as he said that NinjaBee’s Nutjitsu and a mystery Team17 Worms game will be among the first ID@Xbox titles released. Nutjitsu is a free-to-play Windows 8 puzzle game from Ninja Bee, the studio behind A World of Keflings.Team 17 have also announced that Worm Battlegrounds will be released on Both PS4 and Xbox One very soon. Are we now starting to see the Xbox One becoming the epic gaming machine that we have come the expect, and will the release of the first two Indie games open the flood gates for other developers too?.
Over 2 million Xbox One consoles sold to date.
2013 has been one hell of a year for every gamer around the world, whether it’s because this year we have seen some of the best-selling console games of all time or because the Next-Gen consoles have finally arrived. Next-Gen is here and everyone is clearly wanting a piece of the new hardware that the big boys are offering us. Major Nelson announced on his Blog the yesterday that the latest Microsoft gaming console, the Xbox One has already sold over 2 million units within the first 18 days of the consoles life. This is a new record for Microsoft and one that isn’t that surprise as the Xbox One is such hot property right now. The Xbox One is showing its predecessor how it’s done, as the Xbox 360 took roughly a year to reach the 2 million units sold mark. Since the consoles launch back 22nd November gamers around the world have been putting the new hardware to the test, Microsoft stated that so far Users have spent more than 83 million hours in games, TV, and apps since launch on November 22. Including both digital games and video purchases, users have been responsible for more than 1 million paid transactions on Xbox Live, not only that, Microsoft added that Xbox One owners have unlocked more than 39 million achievements worth a combined 595 million total Gamerscore.
The Console war is still on going.
For quite awhile now there has been many heated debates as to which Next-Gen console will be the best out of the PS4 & Xbox One and now that both consoles have launched the war is continuing. Sony announced last week that there PS4 had already reached over 2.1 million units sold to the public which is a huge success and is at the moment winning over its rival the Xbox One in terms of sales, however it is not over by a long shot with Christmas just around the corner now the rivalry between the two consoles is guaranteed to increase.
Some other interesting stats that come with the news about the Xbox One reaching over 2 million sales for you guys. Amazon director of video games said at peak demand, customers were ordering the Xbox One at over 1,000 units per minute. Meanwhile, GameStop merchandising executive Bob Puzon described the Xbox One as “one of our hottest selling products this holiday season.” Wal-Mart VP of entertainment Chris Nagelson said the Xbox One was a “top-seller” on Black Friday and that the company is refreshing its inventory “as fast as we can” to ensure customers can purchase the system for Christmas. One other cool fact is that the console has shifted an average of 111,111 units per day since making its debut on November 22.

Twitch TV App being misused by Gamers on Next-Gen consoles.
The Hugely popular gaming platform. Twitch TV which generates over 45 million visitors to its site each month is now available to gamers on both Microsoft & Sony’s Next-Gen consoles. The Twitch TV App allows gamers to live stream their gameplays for the world to see, all from the press of a button. This new App is already hugely popular for gamers on Sony’s Playstation 4 however for users on the Xbox One the App isn’t completely ready yet meaning you can’t take advantage of the Live streaming feature, which is a massive blow for both Microsoft and owners of the new console. Microsoft have however announced that the live stream feature will be up and running early 2014.
Gamers Behaving Badly On Twitch TV for Playstation 4
Owners of the Playstation 4 console have quickly become addicted to the new Twitch App, I mean who wouldn’t like an audience watching while you game. But this new piece of gaming tech hasn’t come without its problems. Twitch have confirmed that the Playroom feature on the Playstation 4 Twitch App has been removed for the time-being due to lewd Behavior. That’s right through out the week reports have been cropping up of gamers misusing the consoles new feature to broadcast inappropriate footage. Twitch explained that it already needed to remove multiple streams due to salacious behavior and inappropriate comments in chat rooms. One stream featured a man undressing his partner after an extensive drinking session. Twitch wanted to remind users of the T&C that it only provides related gaming content and any unrelated content will be removes as per the Terms of Service. Twitch have not yet announced when the feature will be back up and running yet but we will keep you updated.
Let’s hope the when it launches on Xbox One there is no problems with regards to inappropriate content however it wouldn’t surprise me if the app is misused once again.
Download only games on Xbox One to get new 1000 gamerscore limit.
For those of you out there like myself that love to play Xbox Live Arcade games, then I have some excellent news for you. Firstly let me just clarify something, Xbox Live Arcade is something that doesn’t exist anymore on the Xbox One. The games that would normally fall into that category are now amongst all other game titles. I don’t know whether I like the idea that arcade games don’t have their own section nor do Indie games anymore, however Microsoft think that in getting rid of Xbox Live Arcade category it will give the games themselves more exposure to the general masses, which I do have to agree with, as at the moment on Xbox 360 I feel the Xbox Live Arcade section is a bit tucked away and I actually have friends that have never looked at the section on Xbox 360 so hopefully it will help. Just to add to make sure there is no confusion, Xbox Live Arcade will still be running on Xbox 360.
400 gamerscore limit For Arcade titles to be lifted on Xbox One.
Xbox 360 Arcade titles are all limited to a maximum of 400 gamerscore meaning it limits the amount of achievements developers can add into each Xbla game which is a huge blow for fans of theses games. It is a well-known fact that Xbox Live Arcade games don’t have the depth in both stories and online features to compete against the big games on the console such as your Halos, and Call of Duty however this isn’t surprising considering the cost of a XBLA game is a fraction of the price you would pay for a new big title. Achievements are a way for me personally to get more out of my XBLA games as it gives me a reason to replay the game and therefore I end you getting well worth my money out of the game itself, For example some of the achievements in the highly popular Xbox Live Arcade game, Trails Evolution took me a long time to acquire. Microsoft’s cap on the Gamerscore for Xbox Live Arcade games will never be changed on the Xbox 360 unfortunately.
Now that the Xbox Live Arcade category has been irradiated on the Xbox One, so has the 400 Gamerscore cap on the titles that would fall under the category itself. Microsoft are yet to confirm that this is true however the evidence that’s available would suggest that this will be a common thing for all arcade games in the future. PopCap the creators of Peggle 2 the download only game due out in December for Xbox One has shown that they will be taking full advantage of the new 1000 gamerscore cap. As a game that will be available to buy for just $11.99 this is fantastic to see. Another arcade game, or should I say Download only game that will boast a 1000 gamerscore at launch on Xbox One is the new Halo: Spartan assault.
Is 1000 gamerscore too much for an Arcade title?.
The Question Now is does an Xbox Live Arcade game (download only game) have enough content to give you a whole bunch of new achievements to unlock or will we see like in Minecraft 360 Edition a load of pointless easy achievement that you will get for simply playing the game?. I hope it wont be the case with future Arcade titles, and I defiantly think this new cap on gamerscore will add a certain amount of value and playability to a lot of arcade titles. One thing is for certain, this is great news for any gaming fans on the Xbox One and also for the savvy Achievement hunter out there like myself. What do you think of the news, let me know in the comments below.
Xbox One App: Twitch TV
Twitch is an online gaming platform that allows users to watch people from around the world playing video games. Twitch TV has become the biggest gaming platform in the world, so it’s not surprising that both Microsoft and Sony struck a deal to have a Twitch App on the next-gen consoles. So essentially Twitch is a YouTube style site just for the gaming community that allows you to Livestream you gameplay to millions of people around the world, you can see the appeal right?. Twitch has only been running for just over 2 years a has built up such an audience that it now receives over 45 million unique visitors a month each watching an average of 100 minute worth of videos a day. Twitch has never really been a place for the average joe to go and livestream because up until a few weeks ago you would need to fork out on an expensive capture card to stream you videos to the PC, that has now all changed.
Now you can be the star of the show.
Well not quite yet if you’re a Xbox One owner. From Early 2014 you will be able to stream you gameplays directly to Twitch all from the press of a button on your Xbox One, no expensive capture cards needs, no unnecessary wires clogging up your desk just a straight forward App that is easy to use. unfortunately Microsoft couldn’t get this feature ready in time for the launch of the Xbox One last friday however as stated above, Microsoft have claimed it will be here at the start of the new year. The Twitch App is available to download now on the dashboard however you will only be able to watch other people’s streams and videos. Unlike on the PS4, Xbox One users will have full access to Twitch content and will not be limited to watching content just on Xbox One.
Achievements For watching Twitch on Xbox One.
This is one for all you achievement hunters out there, the Twitch app will come with a set of Achievements for you to complete including:
- Newcomer: Watch one hour of live video on Twitch
- Competitive: Watch 10 hours of live video on Twitch
- Best Viewer: Watch 100 hours of live video on Twitch
- Hipster: Watch one hour of live video on Twitch channels that have less than 10 viewers
- Talent Scout: Watch 10 hours of live video on Twitch channels that have less than 10 viewers
- Max Bandwidth: Watch a single channel on Twitch for more than eight hours consecutively
- Around the Clock: Watch at least one minute of live video on Twitch in each hour of a full day
- Prime Time: Watch a total of 10 hours of live video on Twitch between peak viewing hours from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., on a weekday
Not exacly the best achievements to get in the world, but they will be easy to get thanks to the Xbox One snap feature. On Xbox One you are now able to have two things loaded up at the same time on screen so while you are playing COD: Ghosts for example, you can be watching someone playing it on the Twitch TV app. The only downside to this fantastic app on the Xbox One is the fact that you need to be an Xbox Live gold member to gain access to it, which I know may be a bit of a disappointment to some of you out there.
Is the Twitch App something you can see yourself used on the Xbox One?. Let me know in the link below.
Free Xbox One game to all people with faulty Xbox One console.
It turned out that the launch of the Xbox One didn’t go as smoothly as Microsoft would have liked and this is mainly down to the fact that within only a couple of hours of the launch on friday people were reporting Faulty disk drives. As you can imagine Microsoft were quick to act up on this and quickly released a statement that claimed this is a problem that has only affected a very small portion of the 1 million plus Xbox One consoles sold so far.
Free Xbox One game for your troubles.
People who have suffered from theses terrible hardware failures will be pleased to know that Microsoft have also stated that they will be giving out a free Xbox One game of your choose. Affected customers will have the choice of 4 Xbox One games, which are : Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome or Zoo Tycoon. The good news is all this games are Downloadable so you can continue playing games while you wait for the replacement to arrive, it may be disappointing to have hardware troubles when you first get your hands on the new next-gen console however you can’t say Microsoft haven’t handled it in the best possible way. On the plus side the Disk drive fault is one of the only issues that has cropped up since the launch on friday.
The Xbox One off to a great start, or is it?.
Friday 22nd of November saw the release of the third generation Xbox by Microsoft. This year gamers around the world have eagerly been waiting for the release of the Next-Gen consoles. On the build up to the launch dates, gamers all over the world have been debating which console will rein victorious. The war between Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PS4 has provided me and I can imagine others some great entertainment over the past few months, but one thing that no one can argue about is the fact that both Next-Gen consoles are awesome in their own right. In the build up to the Xbox One launch date Microsoft made what is fair to say a few mistakes, the DRM incident being the main talking point. But it seems despite the early slip ups by Microsoft and despite Sony putting up quite a good argument on why people should buy a PS4, Microsoft’s Xbox One has still managed to break records since its launch. Microsoft announced on Friday that over 1 million consoles have already been sold worldwide and that pretty much all store are now sold out.
It’s all going a bit to well.
Just when it seems that Microsoft had managed to ride the bad criticism it received prior to its launch, reports have been cropping up around the web that the console itself has hardware failures, to be more specific Disk read failure. Now while this doesn’t seem to be a widespread fault, it is a worry never the less and it’s something that you don’t want to here when the console itself is only days old. Microsoft have been very quick to address the situation and said this is something they are looking into and wanted to point out that this has only affected a small number of Xbox One consoles.
Green Screen Of Death on Xbox One. aka (GSOD)
As with pretty much ever new piece of tech that is released this days problems/Glitches are pretty much guaranteed and the Xbox One is no different. Within hours of the console going on sale last friday the Xbox support forum was littered with complaints from angry customers, who were all suffering from this Green screen of death. What is the Green screen of death on the Xbox One?. Well basically for those that haven’t heard about this yet, when the console is started up for the first time it need to update the software once the update is complete some people have been complaining that the system freezes up and you are left staring at a Green screen. Most people find that restarting the system itself has solved this issue while others simply said that if you wait a couple of minutes the console will start-up itself anyway. So this GSOD isn’t a big deal and certainly isn’t causing any serious issues to the Xbox One itself.
Back to the positives.
It seems that for all the problems people are reporting that there are plenty of gamers out there putting the new next-gen console through its paces, if fact according to Microsoft statisticians it is estimated that players have killed off more that 60 million zombies, driven 3.6 million miles and earned 43 million fit points as they explore some of the 22 titles available from launch.
The Xbox One Out Now!!
The highly antisapated Next Gen console the Xbox One is finally available around the world for all to buy . Microsoft’s main competitor Sony release there own Next Gen console next week in the Playstation 4 so now the real battle of the next gen consoles starts, which console will come out on top. Over the past few months there has been huge debates around the web on which console will turn out best and be crowned the champions of next gen, I think it will be interesting to see which console comes out on top in the Christmas period which is pretty much upon us.
The Xbox One, The only One console you’ll need Right?.
The Xbox One is certainly not a Cheap pieace of gaming equipment. The Retail price at launch for the Xbox One Day One edition (which comes with a download code for Fifa 14) is a meaty £429.99. Now unless you have pre-ordered the Console awhile back please note that the chances are you will not be getting your hands on a Xbox One for quite some time yet, some reports suggest that due to such high demands some people will struggle to get hold of the console in time for christmas (Unless you pay a silly amount of money to somebody making a quick buck from the average joe on Ebay.)
What am I getting for my money?
The Xbox One has a 500gb hard drive straight out of the box which is alot considering most of the things on the Xbox will be stored on the cloud therefore not taking up any of your hard drive space anyway. The new controller which to be honest is pretty much the same and I’m definatly not complaining as I like the Xbox 360 controller, also included in the Xbox One package is the new standard Xbox headset which are ment to be of a much better quialty both in sound and feel according to some reviews around the net. For those of you that use your own headsets, just a heads up that you will only recieve standard Stereo sound from your headset regardless of their quialty this is due to the fact that Microsoft were unable to add Dolby digital support to the console due to issues while testing. Albert Penello a spokemen for Microsoft was quick to point out that this is a issue that is being resolved although could not give a date in which Dolby would be added to the system. This is a big let down for me as I feel for a next gen console to not have decent sound output for the beggining is pretty poor however the isn’t much to be done about that. One of the other things supplied with the console is a 3 metre HDMI cable, which is pretty cool just in case you don’t have one.
